Infant, Toddler, and Preschooler Screenings

Early warning signs of childhood developmental delays are essential for a child's successful growth and development.  To help identify if children and families are in need of additional support services, brief assessment screening using game and activities can be used to determine a child's current level of development and what services he/she may need.

This screening service is offered by LIFESTEPS.  LIFESTEPS provides the services through a Child Check Mobile Unit which travels to various counties at least twice a month, including Armstrong and Westmoreland County.  The Unit is equipped to provide infant, toddler and preschooler screenings in vision, hearing, speech and developmental skills.  Results of the screenings are discussed with the parents or caregivers immediately.

To participate, call LIFESTEPS at 1-800-225-2010 for more information or to schedule a FREE appointment. The earlier you identify the greater the chance your child has to successfully develop the fundamental skills needed to succeed with support from these services.
