Good evening, Leechburg Families,
After talking with the road crews in the area and driving around our district this afternoon, combined with the forecasted cold temperatures in the morning, the Leechburg Area School District will utilize a Flexible Instruction Day, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.
In yesterday's message, I said today (1/27/26) was our fifth FID, but I incorrectly marked Jan. 15th in my calendar as an FID Day, even though it was a 2-hour delay. My apologies for providing incorrect information yesterday. Tomorrow will be our 5th and final Flexible Instruction Day approved by the state. Should we be forced to close for additional days this week, those days will be old-fashioned snow days, with no remote learning.
I want to thank the road crews throughout our district for their efforts in clearing the roads.
