1/15/2021 UPDATE

Good Afternoon

I sent an email out earlier today stating that we did not have any reported Covid-19 cases this week. Shortly after, I received a report that we had two cases.

Attached is the letter stating that we have had two secondary students test positive for Covid-19. Both students were last in school on December 18. Due to 28 days passing, we do not have to quarantine anyone at the school. Please see the attached letter for more information.

1/7/2021 Update from Superintendent

Communication from Ms. Nix:

Good Morning:
I wanted to let you know that at the board meeting last night, two items were confirmed:
1. Students will definitely be returning to in-person instruction on Monday, with an option for virtual instruction for families that wish for their children to stay home.
2. We will be continuing with virtual Wednesdays for quite some time. Wednesdays allow time and space for our crew to disinfect and clean. There is no end date on virtual Wednesdays, at this time. The school board will continue to discuss this option as time progresses in the school year.
Thank you and have a great day.

1/3/2021 Message from Superintendent

Good Evening Families:

This is a friendly reminder that all students are virtual for the entire week. We are scheduled to come back to face to face instruction next Monday, January 11. The purpose of virtual instruction this week is to have a week of quarantine following the holidays.

Experts in the medical field are predicting a surge in Covid-19 cases in the next few weeks. I greatly appreciate the families and staff that have communicated with me over break regarding required quarantines and positive cases. I ask that you please continue to do so. If your child is quarantined, please inform the school of the situation.

Finally, please communicate with the guidance counselor if you are changing your child's education model after the holidays. Example: if you chose virtual but now wish to return to face to face instruction, or vice versa, please let us know. It is important for our staff to know how many kids are in person compared to virtual. This information is critical for recording keeping and preparation for academic lessons.

Have a great evening. Happy New Year! And best wishes for all of the parents and guardians that need to get their children back in to a routine. Tomorrow morning may be a little rough.
