Medication Policy

If a student requires medication during the school day, the following criteria must be met:

  1. All prescription medication must be accompanied by written instruction from the Medical Doctor, DO, Dentist,  Physician Assistant or CRNP.
  2. Over the Counter Medication, such as, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tums, Cough Medicine, Etc.  needs a medication administration form filled out by the parent before administration of the medication will be performed.
  3. All prescription and non prescription medication is to be in its original labeled container.
  4. All medication will be kept in the Nurse’s office.  The only exception is medication such as albuterol inhalers and epi-pens.  These medications may be kept with the student if a note from the prescribing physician accompanies the medication.  The note must state that the child is qualified and able to self-administer the medication.
  5. Login to the parent portal to submit a Medication Authorization form for your child.
