Nick Albert

Future Plans: To get my bachelor’s degree at UPJ for computer science.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is becoming a train engineer.

My childhood idol was Batman. He was hands down my favorite superhero as a kid.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a train engineer.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

My favorite way to waste time is watching Netflix and playing video games.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is The Office.

Song I associate with great memories: Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “Who are you talking to?”

Junk food I’m addicted to is chocolate covered pretzels.

Most people don’t know that I am a roller coaster junkie.

The biggest misconception about me is that I am quiet.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is math class.

Three things I will NEVER do are drugs, any form of tobacco products, and alcohol.

The three adjectives that best describe me are loud, serious, cynical.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Biology 2.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Biology 2. It taught me a lot in terms of preparing myself for college level work and exams.  

My favorite school club, sport or activity was ice hockey. I love hockey, and I loved playing hockey.

The best advice I ever received is do your work. Literally every teacher I have had told me that.

An award that I would make up for myself is world’s biggest roller coaster aficionado.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the easy classes and schedule.

By the year 2028, I hope to be a computer network architect/computer engineer.

The most difficult decision I have had to make where to go to college.

When I think about the future, I most fear failing college.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people can’t use the RIGHT door.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is work first, play second.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is Heinz History Center. We learned how to make ketchup.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the small town, laid back vibe.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have studied more.

My favorite quote is “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams” - Willy Wonka

Life would definitely be better without math.

Legal substance I am addicted to is Coca-Cola

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as someone who tries their best and works hard.

The best part of being a senior is moving on to the next part of my life.

My most important high school accomplishment is doing well in all of my classes.

My most embarrassing high school moment was being FORCED to take part in the Green Fashion Show….

My best advice for the new 7th graders is: School is for education, not socialization.

Before I leave, my last confession is… I cheated on all of my first grade spelling tests.

 

Hannah Berry

My childhood idol was my mother because she always has my back.

My favorite way to waste time is stay in bed and come into school late.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is Old School Teen Titans.

Junk food I’m addicted to is dark chocolate.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is coming to school and dealing with all my classes.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  My senior year math class, because I've always enjoyed math.

The best advice I ever received was from Debbi Young: “We haven't given up on you so don't give up on yourself.”

An award that I would make up for myself is holding your tongue even though you almost bit it off.

By the year 2028, I hope to be making a lot of money and have a few nice cars and a house.

When I think about the future, I most fear having to get up before the sun does on a daily basis.  

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people have to be in everyone's business even if it doesn't include them.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is having the small town that comes together.

My favorite quote is: Mark Cuban: “Work like there's someone working 24 hours a day to take it all away from you.”

Life would definitely be better without all the drama in high school.

Legal substance I am addicted to is chocolate.

The best part of being a senior is the fact that this is my last year of high school.

My most important high school accomplishment is graduating high school and getting a diploma.

Before I leave, my last confession is… I hated school and yearned for the day that it was over.

 

Phillip Carlson

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be  a doctor.

My favorite way to waste time is playing Fortnite.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is The Office.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “It is what it is.”

The person who has most influenced my life is my parents.

The three adjectives that best describe me are sociable, reliable, and motivated.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? POD with Mr. Davies because it is entertaining and it is a fun environment.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Calculus

My favorite school club, sport or activity was Spanish Club.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the class sizes and the helpful teachers.

By the year 2028, I hope to be out of college with a good job.

The most difficult decision I have had to make is what I wanted to major in at Carlow.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is going to the zoo for Ecology with Mr. Zelonka.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the teachers because they are all nice and talkative.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have been more social.

I am inspired by my parents.

My favorite quote is “It is what it is.”

Legal substance I am addicted to is apple juice.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as friendly and sociable.

The best part of being a senior is doing dual enrollment.

My most important high school accomplishment is National Honor Society.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is be respectful.

 

Devonte Commodore

Future Plans: IUP to major in Criminology

My childhood idol was Queen Latifah.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a chef.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of Katy Perry.

My favorite way to waste time is to do absolutely nothing and just relax while listening to music.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is Sponge Bob.

Song I associate with great memories: Replay by Iyaz and Some NIghts by Fun.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “You think you’re all that in a bag of chips.”

Junk food I’m addicted to is vanilla Oreos.

Most people don’t know that I am one of seven.

The biggest misconception about me is that I am a rude person.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is failing people and being annoying.

The person who has most influenced my life is  my grandmother because she has always been there for me.

Three things I will NEVER do are 1) skydive 2) bungee jump 3) be white.

The three adjectives that best describe me are funny, crazy, loving.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? English because it is relaxing.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  8th Grade Health with Ms. Ferretti because she taught us what we really needed to know.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was track because I like being successful with the shot put.

The best advice I ever received is “Never give up; never surrender” by my grandfather.

An award that I would make up for myself is the Loving Kindness Award.

What I will miss most about LAHS is all of the people who I made friends with.

By the year 2028, I hope to be married, rich and own a home.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was not moving to CA with my mom.

When I think about the future, I most fear the unknown.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people are always in your business

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is that there are some people out there that really do care about you.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is going to the Art Museum.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is that it is small.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have been in more activities.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is starring in the musical and walking on stilts.

Life would definitely be better without stupidity.

Legal substance I am addicted to is food.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as a funny individual.

The best part of being a senior is waiting to graduate.

My most important high school accomplishment is getting out of the IEP.

My most embarrassing high school moment was dropping a glass of red pop.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is to work hard and don't be annoying.

What LAHS should miss about me is my height because there is a lot of short people who needed my help.

Before I leave, my last confession is… I pulled the chair out from under Gabby Roofner and pretended it was an accident.

 

Travis Cousins

Future Plans:  Get my bachelor's degree at UPJ and transfer to Law School at University of Pittsburgh and hopefully become a defense attorney.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is to become a firefighter.

My childhood idol was Travis Pastrana because of his comical value and talent with dirt bike riding.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a firefighter.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of Bakugan.

My favorite way to waste time is watch The Office.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime would be The Office.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “actually.”

Junk food I’m addicted to is Utz Salt & Vinegar chips.

Most people don’t know that I hate peppers.

The biggest misconception about me is that I am a quiet person with no personality.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is math.

The person who has most influenced my life is my mother because she raised me on her own and taught me everything I know today.

Three things I will NEVER do are  sing in public, play an instrument, and eat weird concoctions of foods.

The three adjectives that best describe me are funny, polite, responsible.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Sociology because Mr. Komar is an amazing individual and teaches with some comical value.

What do you think is the most important class you have had? History. It allowed me to learn about the foundation the U.S was founded upon and can help Segway me into my future career.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was hockey. It is fast, brutal, team-based, and takes concentration.

The best advice I ever received was “Take everything with a grain of salt”- My sister

An award that I would make up for myself is Geography Champion.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the teachers and the tight-knit community.

By the year 2028, I hope to be a Defense Attorney for the state of Pennsylvania.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was whether or not I wanted to go to college.

When I think about the future, I most fear the hardships and decisions that will form my future.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people drive like maniacs.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is to be myself and strive for that next step.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is the Pittsburgh Zoo trip back in elementary.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the small, tight-knit community.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have done more for myself through high school.

I am inspired by my family.

My favorite quote is “You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.”- Winston Churchill.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is shot a dinger in hockey.

Life would definitely be better without stress.

Legal substance I am addicted to is salt.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as quiet and alert.

The best part of being a senior is the nostalgia of all the years that passed in high school.

My most important high school accomplishment is doing well in the classes important to my career.

My most embarrassing high school moment was when I wrote “No” on a lunch table in permanent marker.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is to find what you love and stick with it. Don't give it up.

What LAHS should miss about me is my humor and my attentiveness.

Before I leave, my last confession is...math is a ridiculously hard subject.

 

Cameron Davies

Future Plans: Attend Robert Morris University and double major in BCIT education and management.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true was me becoming a world-wide famous pop star.

My childhood idol was Justin Bieber because he is beautiful.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a veterinarian.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of cropped leggings and jean skirts.

My favorite way to waste time is watch Netflix.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is American Horror Story.

Song I associate with great memories: Hey There, Delilah

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “like.”

Junk food I’m addicted to is Cheetos.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is homework.

The person who has most influenced my life is my dad because he always taught me to stand up for what I believe in and always “Be the change I wish to see in the world.”

The three adjectives that best describe me are confident, funny, gullible.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why?  Mr. Zelonka’s Biology II class (already is 2 periods a day…).

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Public Speaking with Mrs. DeWitt because it allows you to practice the most important characteristic you can have — the ability to communicate properly.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was basketball because it provided me with life long friendships.

What I will miss most about LAHS is getting to see my best friends everyday.

By the year 2028, I hope to be financially-stable, married, and passionate about my job.

When I think about the future, I most fear being unhappy.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is the Science Center.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the smallness.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have my own dog.

My favorite quote is, “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is decide to play Webkinz again at the age of 18.

Life would definitely be better without Catholic schools.

Legal substance I am addicted to is water because or else I’ll die.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as confident.

The best part of being a senior is finally realizing to value your time here.

My most important high school accomplishment is the life-long friendships I’ve made.

My most embarrassing high school moment was falling up the stairs on the first day of 8th grade.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is don’t be annoying, be nice to everyone, and shower daily.

What LAHS should miss about me is everything.

Before I leave, my last confession is… one time I tried to teach Summer how to ride a bike and she fell off and cried.

 

Haley DeCapite

Future Plans: I plan on enlisting in the Air Force.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is wanting to grow up.

My childhood idol was Triple H from WWE because he reminded me of my dad so much.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a police officer.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of my Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony. Maybe Polly Pocket too!

My favorite way to waste time is hanging out with my family but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a waste of time. I cherish the time spent with them.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is probably Shameless.  

Junk food I’m addicted to is Hot Cheetos and Honey Buns and chocolate milk.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is not knowing if I’ll be successful in life. I asked myself what can I do to succeed a few times a day.

The people who have most influenced my life are my parents. My biological mother taught me how easy it is to walk away from something and not look back. My dad taught me everything I know as a person. He was always there when no one else was. He raised me into the person I am and will always be. My step-mom influenced me by proving that family isn’t always blood. She taught me to put things in the past because they prevent you from moving on to better things and times.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? It would probably be POD with Mr. Davies because I like discussing politics.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?

The basic math classes would be the most important classes to me because it’s important for me to understand basic and complex mathematics for work, now and in the Air Force.    

My favorite school club, sport or activity was Friday night football games because they brought the entire town together for one night and made me proud to say I was from Leechburg.

The best advice I ever received was to accept the things you can not change, have courage to change that you can and have wisdom to know the difference.

An award that I would make up for myself is the award for the most procrastinative.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the overall experience. Waking up and going to the same building and doing the same thing everyday since kindergarten is coming to a end. It’s been such a big part of all of our lives and now it’s over.  

By the year 2028, I hope to maintain a healthy and steady job, be engaged or married, and maybe have a baby. I’ll be 28 so I think that’s reasonable.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was joining the Air Force.

When I think about the future, I most fear not making my dad proud.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is that no one’s really your friend.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is going to Inventionland and moving on to regionals or going to Heinz Field with Ms. Ferragonio.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the community. I admire how small of a town we are and how everyone knows each other. Growing up with the Class of 2018 was such a blessing. I grew up with some amazing people, even if some of us haven’t talked since Elementary or Junior High.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have given a little more effort in my classes, participated more in school events, and played sports.

I am inspired by my family.

My favorite quote is “She believed she could, so she did.”

Life would definitely be better without liberals.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as lazy.

The best part of being a senior is all the advantages you get over the rest of the student body.

My most important high school accomplishment is winning Inventionland my senior year.

My most embarrassing high school moment would be when I was walking up the stairs and fell backwards and Skilor Mclntire had to catch me.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is use the right door and be close friends with someone who is really smart so you’ll never have to do a homework assignment.

Before I leave, my last confession is I do not actually remember a single homework assignment I’ve done by myself. I’ve always copied from someone else.

 

Donovan Dixon

Future Plans: I have no clue, really.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a rockstar.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of wrestling.

My favorite way to waste time is being on the computer, doing nothing productive.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime: classic Pokemon anime (1999 - 2002). Also, Kirby: Right Back At Ya!

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “Pretty much, yeah.”

Junk food I’m addicted to is chips.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is everything.

The person who has most influenced my life is my mom. After all, she brought me into this world.

Three things I will NEVER do are be an average Joe Schmo, contribute to society in any way, and get drunk.

The three adjectives that best describe me are odd, lazy, and creative.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Study hall, of course, because I get to do nothing.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Band, because it taught me to find the rhythm of everything.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was none, really. But if I had to choose one, it would be Quiz Bowl, I guess.

What I will miss most about LAHS is nothing.

By the year 2028, I hope to be still alive, at least.

When I think about the future, I most fear that I will be homeless and alone forever.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people are such jerks to everyone else.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is I suck, everyone else sucks, and the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

I am inspired by Radiohead, among other bands/artists I really like.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is bend the laws of physics while playing badminton.

Life would definitely be better without idiots and jerks.

Legal substance I am addicted to is iced tea.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as smart, but very lazy.

The best part of being a senior is I get to leave.

 My most embarrassing high school moment was everything.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is try to be nice, OK?

What LAHS should miss about me is the attempts at being nice I brought.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is becoming a firefighter.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a professional football player.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of Hannah Montana.

My favorite way to waste time is playing video games.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is Family Guy.

Junk food I’m addicted to is 7 Layer Dip flavored Combos.

Most people don’t know that I love country music.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is Life.

The person who has most influenced my life is my parents.

The three adjectives that best describe me are strong, bulky, huge.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was basketball.

An award that I would make up for myself is being such a sick dude.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the teachers.

By the year 2028, I hope to be rich with a family.

The most difficult decision I have had to make what I’m going to wear in the morning.

When I think about the future, I most fear is losing my bulkiness.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is the dude that bent the pans.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have played football.

Legal substance I am addicted to is rice.

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as a great guy.

The best part of being a senior is having no homework ever.

My most important high school accomplishment is the basketball state game.

Before I leave, my last confession is… the world may never know.

 

Mike Herbinko

Future Plans: Hiram G. Andrews in Johnstown for computers (or maybe I’ll stock shelves!)

My childhood idols were Michael Jackson & Jackie Evancho because I like their music. I like how they have different styles of music.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a superhero!

My favorite way to waste time is playing on my phone.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is Sherlock Holmes.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “I like you a latte!”

Junk food I’m addicted to is Reese’s Peanut Cups.

Most people don’t know that I sing in the shower.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is not getting hugs in the morning.

The person who has most influenced my life is Mr. Jones, because he is like a person you would always look forward to seeing, he’s a superhero, and he makes everybody’s day happy. He is like a dad that I wish I had, and it’s really nice.

Three things I will NEVER do are 1. ride bikes, 2. haunted houses, 3. jump off a bridge

The three adjectives that best describe me are  1. Heroic, 2. Lovable, 3. Wise, 4. Bubbly

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Chemistry, because you get to put different chemicals together and see the reactions.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Math, because it makes you learn how to put numbers and different equations together. You have to measure, too.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was Chess Club, football, and shooting bow and arrows.

The best advice I ever received was “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey.

An award that I would make up for myself is Best Hugger Award! That especially goes to me!

What I will miss most about LAHS is teachers, staff, and students. I will miss seeing lovely people in the morning.

By the year 2028, I hope to be famous!

When I think about the future, I most fear that the world will end.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people have to have fire drills!

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is wisdom.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is the one where the guy broke the metal pan.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is staff, students, and teachers!

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have STAYED!

I am inspired by the teachers, because they make me feel happy inside.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is run a touchdown against Clairton. I did like meeting Jackie Evancho, too, though! ;-)

Life would definitely be better without the cold weather!

Legal substance I am addicted to is peanut butter. Or gum, too! Some people call me the “gum dealer!”

In general, I think my teachers would describe me as adorable.

The best part of being a senior is going on the Senior Trip in May to Dave and Buster’s.

My most embarrassing high school moment was when I accidentally went into the girls’ bathroom, and there were girls in there!

My best advice for the new 7th graders is keep your head up! Bring your A game on. Whenever, it’s game day, play hard!

What LAHS should miss about me is how funny I am, and how lovable I am!

 

Sami Hoover

A childhood dream I’m glad did not come true: Becoming a marine biologist. I hate water, boats, and swimming.

My childhood idol was Avril Lavigne, because she didn’t care what anyone thought about her. She was just her and I liked that and strived to be like that.

My favorite way to waste time is hike and fish.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime is Doctor Who.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “whatever.”

Junk food I’m addicted to is gummy bears.

Most people don’t know that I play guitar.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is school.

Art because I’m allowed to be me. I focused mainly on clay my last couple of years and I thought it was a lot of fun.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Art because again, I was allowed to be myself. I can't express myself through math or science. Art was a place where it didn't matter how I felt, I could use art to reflect that. I’ve never seen an angry math problem.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was I was only ever really active in one club and that was art club. I loved what we did for the community and the positivity we spread using art.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the art room (even though everything is about to change).

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have taken more art in 7th grade.

Legal substance I am addicted to is music.

The best part of being a senior is knowing at the end of this year I don't have to come back.

My best advice for 7th grade is stop caring about your cliques or whose boyfriend/girlfriend did what and when. It doesn't matter. It never will and all it does it stress you out. Trust me, the last thing you want is more stress.

What LAHS should miss about me is all the things in the art department I’ve done throughout the years for the school and never got recognized for.

Before I leave, my last confession is… I am so happy to be out of here.

 

Corey Kerecz

Future Plans:  Attend University of Pitt Greensburg for mechanical engineering.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is playing football.

My childhood idol was my dad because he has shown me what it means to be there for your kids and a good family man.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a soccer star.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of the Boston Red Sox.

My favorite way to waste time is playing XBox.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime  is Shooter.

Song I associate with great memories: Some Nights/ We Are Young by Fun.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is don’t worry about what other people think.

Junk food I’m addicted to is Gushers.

Most people don’t know that I’m adopted.

The biggest misconception about me is that I am not my current dad’s biological son.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is having to fill out scholarships among my busy schedule.

The person who has most influenced my life is my dad because he pushes me to be the best, respectable person possible.

Three things I will NEVER do are disrespect teachers, shoplift, rock climb a mountain.

The three adjectives that best describe me are athletic, smart, outgoing.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Gym, because I love playing sports.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  Physics, because that class has so much to do with everything in real life.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was drama club and baseball.

The best advice I ever received is don´t worry about what other people think.

An award that I would make up for myself is Most Activities Played.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the amount of activities I could do.

By the year 2028, I hope to be supporting a family on a solid income.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was my college choice.

When I think about the future, I most fear failure.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people worry about stuff that isn’t about them.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me you don’t have to like everyone, you just have to tolerate them.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is Kennywood trip for Physics.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is how I know everyone from grades 9-12.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have cared about grades in 9th grade.

Future Plans: Citizens School of Nursing, to become a registered nurse.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true was going on American Idol.

My childhood idols were my parents because they showed me what hard work can get you.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a math teacher or veterinarian.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of playing games on my Nintendo DS.

My favorite way to waste time is to watch Netflix or Youtube.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime would be Grey’s Anatomy or Shameless.

Song I associate with great memories: Starships by Nicki Minaj because it reminds of the 6th grade banquet.

Word or phrase I find myself using over and over is “I can’t wait to graduate” even though I am terrified of graduating.

Junk food I’m addicted to is popcorn and pretzels.

Most people don’t know that I love doing other people’s hair and nails.

The biggest misconception about me is that I am really rude because my face doesn’t have much emotion on its own.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is school.

The person who has most influenced my life is my parents, because they worked really hard to give me everything I need or ask for and I really don’t know where I would be without them.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Probably english because I really like English class and English classes have some of the best teachers in this school.  

What do you think is the most important class you have had? Probably English, because it makes me sound more proper and teaches me that some of the things I say daily may not actually be grammatically correct.

The best advice I ever received was from dad, and it was to never give up on something you want for yourself because nothing in life is easy.

An award that I would make up for myself is most antisocial person.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the teachers.

By the year 2028, I hope to be a successful nurse, living in a nice house.

The most difficult decision I have had to make is deciding where to pursue my education after graduation.

When I think about the future, I most fear not being able to pursue the career I want to have.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have joined more clubs and tried out for musical.

Future Plans: attend St. Margaret’s School of Nursing and receive my diploma and further my education at Chatham and receive my Bachelor of Science in Nursing

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is becoming a police officer.

My childhood idols were my parents. They were always there for me no matter what. We have been through a lot and no matter what they were always there for me.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a police officer.

My favorite way to waste time is listening to music or watching YouTube.

TV series marathon I could watch anytime Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D, and Law & Order: SVU.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is being punctual for everything I do throughout the day.

The person who has most influenced my life is my dad. He has always been there for me. He has raised me up to be the man I am today. He coached me through all of my Little League baseball years and even my elementary basketball years.

What do you think is the most important class you have had?  I believe the most important class I’ve taken in high school would be Anatomy & Physiology. I will use this class all throughout Nursing School.  

My favorite school club, sport or activity was baseball. I absolutely love the sport.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the close relationships with everyone here at Leechburg.

By the year 2028, I hope to be married, owning a house, working at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh as a Registered Nurse.  

The most difficult decision I have had to make is deciding on what to do with my life.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people spread rumors about others and care so much about others’ business.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is respect. Respect everyone until they give you a reason not to!

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is Envirothon in 11th grade. We came in last place but it was a great time!

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the tight-knit community. Everyone knows everyone and everyone is so close.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have tried just a little more in school.

The coolest thing I’ve ever done is parasailing at Ccean City beach.

Future Plans: Attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to major in chemistry in hopes of pursuing a career as a pharmacist or engineer. Then, attend graduate school for pharmacy or engineering if necessary. I will play women’s basketball for IUP.

My childhood idol were: Michael Jackson - loved his music, loved how he was very charitable, and how he made awareness for the injustices in our country and other countries; my parents - strong bond, did everything for me, gave me a strong background and a very influential family

Father - taught me how to play basketball ( what my life revolves around), increased my confidence, my best friend

He always does everything to make laugh and attempts to bring out my confidence everyday. He has been the most influential because he has taught me many lessons and given me a ton of wisdom, most coming from his father. He has sacrificed so much for me and I do not know what I would do without him. He is the most influential to me because my confidence has increased due to him and low self esteem is one of my biggest flaws

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? Study Hall - I love to get my work done and take a break from the busy school day

What do you think is the most important class you have had? Why?  Principles of Democracy - we are learning financial literacy which will help me throughout my life. Also, voting is very influential in our country and I think everyone should take this class to educate themselves, so we do not have another president like the one we have today.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was basketball - I just love the sport, met some of my best friends, gave me free education, went all over the country, increased my confidence, and introduced me to very different lifestyles and cultures.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the intimacy of the community and school

By the year 2028, I hope to be out of college as an engineer or pharmacist, either living in New York ( if I do not have kids or a husband), North Carolina (if I have kids and a husband), or wherever my professional athlete husband is drafted to. I’d hope to have kids by then, a boy first and then a girl. And I hope to be able to work at home.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people lie about dumb things and are hypocrites.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is going to Heinz Field because I love the Steelers and being able to see their locker room and stadium.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is how small and intimate it is. I love being able to walk through town and everyone knows my name and I love knowing every person in my grade and basically every person in our school. I love being able to have a connection with the teachers and staff.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have been more confident in myself.

Future Plans: After graduation, I am moving to Daytona Beach, Florida in July of this year and enrolling into a local community college to begin my educational journey of Forensic Psychology. While doing so, I plan to work in my field as a cosmetologist.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people speak down on others when they are around their friends and have support, but don’t take issues up with the individual that they have conflict with.

Future Plans: I will be attending Pitt Greensburg this upcoming fall for Biological Sciences, I will further my education and eventually become a Geneticist or a Veterinarian.

My childhood idol were my mom and dad. I would say I am close with my parents and I love them to death. If I would turn out like my parents I would be extremely happy; they are the strongest people I know and have already taught me so much.

The biggest misconception about me is that I always get confused as a 12-year-old when I go out. I am actually 18, not 12. I promise.

The person who has most influenced my life is Pearl. She was my neighbor when I was little she always reminded to keep my head up high, be humble, and most importantly be kind.

Three things I will NEVER do are use someone's weakness against them in an argument, walk away, and I will never tell someone they can't make their dream come true.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day? I could definitely sit through five of my shop class (Biomed) I just find everything so fascinating.

The most important class I have had is Multimedia design because it has helped me out so much with using the technology that it has made my other classes easier for preparing for projects, etc.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was marching band because it brought me closer to all of my peers especially upperclassmen.

The best advice I ever received was from my sister Simone. She told me that when she started her career that she was told you're not just a nurse, you're a NURSE meaning don't let the title define you. You are so much more than your title.

An award that I would make up for myself (that I think I most deserve right now) is

World’s Most Awkward Person.

What I will miss most about LAHS is being with all of my peers.

By the year 2028, I hope to be working my dream job, own a house, be married and have a dog.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was whether or not to go to Lenape. Spoiler alert: I made the right choice by going.

When I think about the future, I most fear failing the most. I don't want to fail and I hope I never will.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people have never walked on the right side of the hallways.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is just because people know you doesn't mean they won't judge you.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is the kindergarten field trip to the zoo. My mom was a chaperone and I got to see all of the animals.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is that everyone knows you already. I don't have to explain why I am weird and no one questions it.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have totten out more and hung out with my friends instead of staying home, eating nuggs, and watching Netflix.

The best part of being a senior is being able to look back at all I have accomplished.

My most important high school accomplishment is...It may not seem like a huge accomplishment, but I have put myself out there way more and I am proud of myself for that. I always had a hard time talking to certain people because I was always nervous.

My most embarrassing high school moment was projectile-spitting out an orange in lab.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is just go for it and don't wait up for life. You want a 100% on an upcoming test? Study and do it! Life doesn’t wait up for you.

Future Plans: I am going to Allegheny College to major in neuroscience and minor in psychology. I plan to attend medical school to become a forensic pathologist.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is having a brother or sister.

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be an artist.

I hate to admit it now, but when I was in elementary school, I was a BIG FAN of Pokémon and hexbugs.

My favorite way to waste time is watching Netflix and eating cereal.

Song I associate with great memories is Sweet Caroline because the marching band almost always plays it at the end of football games.

The person who has most influenced my life is Mr. Reams. He taught me to be confident and proud of myself.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? I could sit through band more than once a day because I enjoy band and Mr. Reams never fails to make an obscure analogy that makes the entire band laugh.

What do you think is the most important class you have had? Why?  The most important class I’ve ever had was Biology II because it was the class that got me interested in anatomy when we dissected the rat and cat. That class helped me decide what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was marching band because I made so many friends and enjoyed spending my summers with my band “family”.

The best advice I ever received was from Mr. Reams. He said if you aren’t confident in yourself, fake it. You will soon realize that you can do it and your confidence will grow.

What I will miss most about LAHS is the relationships I have made with both the students and the teachers.

By the year 2028, I hope to be out of medical school and beginning my medical rotations.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was deciding what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

When I think about the future, I most fear failure.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people can’t walk single file down the steps.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is a group can be small but it can also be mighty.

Future Plans: I have already signed to Westmoreland County Community College to play basketball and volleyball as well as study speech pathology. I will attend there for two years then transfer to either IUP or Clarion.

My childhood idol was my mom. This is because she is the perfect role model for me. She is hardworking and does anything she can for me. She is a strong woman.

My favorite way to waste time is lay in my bed and watch Netflix for hours.

The person who has most influenced my life is my mom, because she is always there for me.

Art class, because I like to draw and be creative so I would not have a problem with sitting through this class more than once each day.

I think the most important class that I have had would be physiology and sociology because you get to learn about people.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was basketball and volleyball.

By the year 2028, I hope to be married and have a good job while trying to start a family.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people treat some individuals so mean.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is be your own individual and to not care what other people say or think.

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS was going to New York City with the band and choir. It was my favorite because we saw the musical Matilda and ate really good food.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the music department because they have so many opportunities to grow and try new things.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have learned to not procrastinate.

Future Plans: I plan on going straight into the workforce and focusing on continuing to expand my farm.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is I always wanted to move to California to raise happy cows (from the commercial).

When I was in kindergarten, I wanted to be a teacher, but now I can't stand kids, so that will never happen.

My favorite way to waste time is go to Tractor Supply.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people

say my name wrong. It is pronounced “R-E-On-Ah” not “Air-E-on-Ah.”

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is it is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice.  

My favorite field trip or assembly throughout all my years at LAHS is NYC choir/band trip. It was so fun and we got to experience so much.

The thing that stresses me out on a daily basis is time management.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? I could sit through first period English because it's always really fun.

My favorite school club, sport or activity was cheerleading because I learned so much from my amazing five years involved and I wouldn't trade the memories of and lessons  learned from it for the world.

The best advice I ever received was to not worry about anything that will not matter in six months.

An award that I would make up for myself is Most Embarassing.

What I will miss most about LAHS is cheering with my sister my senior year as well as so many of the younger students and the teachers that helped me through the years.

The best part of being a senior is senior night for cheer, senior week, and the excitement of graduating.

The most difficult decision I have had to make was what to do after high school.

When I think about the future, I most fear letting people down.

My favorite thing about Leechburg is the small size nature and the teachers and cheerleading.

Now that I am graduating, I really wish I would have tried harder and taken harder classes. There is a lot I would have accomplished better knowing what I know now.

The best part of being a senior is the opportunity for me to be a Varsity Cheerleader for the 2017-2018 School year. I had a great experience and I am so thankful.

My most important high school accomplishment is getting to Skills USA State Competition in Medical Terminology by winning at the local and district level.

My most embarrassing high school moment was forgetting a whole section in a medical terminology contest.

The biggest lesson LAHS has taught me is everyone is at their own pace and do not compare yourself to anyone else.

My best advice for the new 7th graders is don't worry about what people think and also do your absolute best at everything, especially in school and try to learn as much as you can.

Future Plans: In the fall, I plan to attend WCCC for 2 years then transfer to Penn State New Ken for another 2 years, all for nursing. Then I plan to specialize in pediatric oncology, and work at a child based or cancer based hospital somewhere further south.

A childhood dream I once had that I’m glad did not come true is when I was a child, I wanted to become a masseuse for some odd reason and I’m glad I grew out of that and picked a different career choice.

Three things I will NEVER do are actually start a project at a reasonable time, stop complaining about something, and complete any diet I start.

What’s the one class you could sit through more than once each day and why? (It doesn’t have to be a class you currently have.)  Ms.Mondale's English classes or Mr. Davie’s classes. They are both very fun teachers which makes the classes 1000x more enjoyable. I find myself never being bored in those classes because the teachers make them exciting. Also they both do fun projects which is a great component of the classes.

What do you think is the most important class you have had? Why?  

Intro to Business/Marketing or Child Development because they teach you real-world skills that are beneficial to almost everyone no matter what career you go into.

In all my years at Leechburg, I have never been able to figure out why people

are so stupid.

The most important lesson LAHS has taught me is procrastination will be the death of me.
