    Welcome to the world of Classic Greek and Roman Mythology. This class will dunk you into all things mythological like Achilles' mother dunked him in the River Styx. Don't get the allusion? You will be the end of this course!

    Throughout the course of the semester, we will cover the following major units of study. Please note that several of these units will be year-long units thus information and skills will be built during the cours of the year. The order of units listed below does not necessarily tranfer to the order in which they will be covered.

    Unit 1: Greek Historical, Cultural, and Religious Background and the Value of Myths

    Unit 2: Creation Myths

    Unit 3: The Olympian Family

    Unit 4: The World of Man

    Unit 5: The Hero, the Heroic Quest, and Star Wars

    Unit 6: The Constellations

    Unit 7: World Mythology - final project
