Borderlands by Gearbox Software

I know you all were expecting a “Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2” review, but I was unable to play it in the amount of time I had, so instead I played another first person shooter that also has a hint of rpg in it. The game I am talking about is “Borderlands.”

This game has some pretty amazing ideas behind it. First, it gives players a skill tree that boosts their natural shooting abilities like bullet damage health and shields. “Borderlands” is also a very addicting game; when I played, the hours I spent felt like minutes. The game tells a story but lets players find their way. One drawback is that the beginning is rather slow.

“Borderlands” also provides a great multiplayer player experience by allowing friends join in and play through the story. Last, what I thought was the best feature of the game, is the deep and massive weapons system that allows for hundreds of different guns. The next time I find myself with an extra $60, this game will probably be the one I buy, the one that will be the next new game stopping me from leaving my house.

Overall, I think this game came up short. The campaign was on the shorter side and the graphics were terrible. The only good aspect I found about the game was the join-in-progress campaign, which is new to video games.
