When she was a child, guidance counselor Kelly Sadler wanted to be a singer once she grew up.
Sadler’s most treasured possession is her family, and her greatest achievement is becoming a mother. Her idea of perfect happiness is to have a lot of kids while one thing she most fears is losing a child. She says that one of her talents is “being able to go out in public with five small children” and one thing she never leaves her house without is her diaper bag.
Sadler enjoys watching her children play sports and her refrigerator has their sports pictures on it. A cat is one thing she has never wanted helping to explain why she doesn’t currently own any pets.
Chocolate is something Sadler couldn’t live without, favoring any dessert with chocolate in it. Sushi is the oddest thing that she enjoys eating while fish with their heads still attached are one thing she will never eat because they are “gross.” Her refrigerator always contains milk, chocolate syrup and strawberries.
Her favorite meal is anything at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. While cooking is something she never quite learned to do, crab cakes are one thing she makes especially well.
The “Catechism of the Catholic Church” is her favorite book because “it’s the truth,” and if she could meet any famous person, she would want to meet the Pope.
She is addicted to shopping and her favorite place to shop is on the Internet.
Going to Aruba was Sadler’s favorite vacation, and she has also traveled to Mexico. If she were independently wealth,y she would travel, and if she could travel anywhere, she would be found in Mexico on a beach “sipping something colorful.”
Sadler has moved five times in her life, and she saidthat Virginia Beach is the best place she has ever lived.
Softball is her favorite sport in which to participate, and she said that the coolest thing she has ever done was go to the state playoffs every year she played softball in high school. She has also coached softball and her son’s soccer team.
Saturday is Sadler’s best day of the week because of sports, and her worst month is February because it is too cold.
The qualities she likes in the opposite sex are intelligence, strength and spirituality. She likes her friends because of their loyalty and the good advice that they give.
Her first impression of Leechburg was that it was “small but friendly.” Sadler disliked being furloughed, but she is grateful to be back.
She says that the best part of her job is working with the students, while the worst part is not being able to please everyone with the schedule. She says the pictures and her round table make her office her own. If it were possible to bribe her, Sadler would accept acts of kindness towards other students in need.
Her biggest pet peeve is people who complain about things that they can change. Other drivers annoy Sadler when they follow too closely. The household chore she detests most is putting away the laundry.
When she was in high school, Sadler participated in softball, show choir, DECA, volleyball. She was also a class officer. Chorus was her favorite class, while she confessed she has never been good at math. One of her greatest regrets is not doing better academically while she was in high school. A valuable lesson she learned in high school was to not skip school.
After high school she attended Ferrum College in Virginia, IUP and Penn State. While she was still in high school, Sadler worked at her uncle’s law firm.
If she could write her own fortune cookie, it would say, “Outside pleasures are not the meaning of true happiness.” Her favorite quote is “too late now” because her son says it. One phrase she finds herself saying frequently is “stop it.”
When she gets bored, Sadler reads. She recently read “Fatherless.” Her favorite magazine is People and newspaper stories about child abuse catch her attention.
As for television, she watches “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance” as well as hoarding shows. One TV character she believes she is most like is Phoebe from “Friends.” “Marley and Me” is a movie Sadler could watch again and again because she likes the dog.
The wallpaper on her computer is currently a picture of her family at the beach. She doesn’t play any computer games.
Sadler would like to be a better vocalist and the superpower she most wants is invisibility.
Sadler said three adjectives that describe her are friendly, dependable and quiet. If she were able to change her name to anything, she would change it to Anne, and if she were a rapper, her name would be Superfly Sadler.
The thing about her physical appearance she dislikes most is her weight. She has a dolphin tattoo.
The best gift that Sadler has ever given was sending her parents on a cruise. The best that she has ever received was children.
