Leechburg choir and band members are singing out their needs nationwide.
Choir director Emily King and many Leechburg students will be participating in the “Glee Give a Note” project. The goal of the contest is to give $1 million to at-risk music programs across the country.
To win the project, participants must submit a video that displays why they should win in a “Glee”-style song. So, King has re-written the words to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” to communicate Leechburg’s needs.
The video had to be submitted by Tuesday, Oct. 4. It will be approved by judges by Oct. 11. After approval, all of the contestants’ videos can be viewed and voted on at gleegiveanote.com. The videos with the most votes will then be evaluated by another panel of judges who will decide the winner.
