If you’ve attended a Leechburg basketball game this season or a volleyball game last fall, chances are you’ve seen the banners of your favorite players hanging up in the gymnasium. Created by graphic designer Patricia McCorkle, banners begin as a rough sketch and turn into a team collage. This slideshow gives a sneak peek of how one simple idea transforms into one big banner.

Those banners are impressive. Mrs. McCorkle is obviously the right person for the job. Her creativity surpasses that of anyone elso I know. I would definitely like to know more about how those single pictures come together so nicely. And I hope she will create one for the football team! :)
Banners make other teams envious

Mrs. McCorkle's banners are always amazing, to say the least. It was neat to see the process that leads up to the final product. Mrs. McCorkle's work has definitely been admired all season. Many other teams walk into our gym and go straight to the banners. I'd say they are definitely jealous! We are so lucky to have someone as talented as Mrs. McCorkle to decorate our gym!

I think the banners look terrific! They add a nice touch to the gym. We all need to thank Mrs. McCorkle for her hard work in creating the banners. I hope that we can continue to have these for every sport at Leechburg. Not many other schools are lucky enough to have such cool team banners, so we should be thankful.

Patti McCorkle made a banner for varsity volleyball here at Leechburg, and I must admit that every time I entered the gym, I looked at it. It was so cool seeing my teammates and myself together on the banner. We looked so intimidating! She is really talented at what she does.

How someone can be so talented really puzzles me. When we were taking our volleyball pictures, Mrs. McCorkle was also taking individual pictures of us. She told us to just "pose for the camera." I found out what was going on with those pictures and I was really shocked. All of the banners turned out amazing and they looked awesome. Good job, Mrs. McCorkle!

The gym banners are impressive and really cool! Leechburg is lucky to have Mrs. McCorkle sharing her talent with us!
