Great slide show, TrottyVeck! It is amazing how the people of Leechburg and Gilpin keep themselves occupied. Leechburg is probably one of the few towns that has a gazebo behind its local grocery store. The view towards the river is only a infestation of weeds, while the view behind the gazebo is a dark and decrepit grocery store. Even though the people of Leechburg are not always the smartest (who ever decided to put a gazebo behind IGA), they are some of the friendliest people I know.
Leechburg IS a special place

This slide show is so funny! Leechburg is a unique place. I once was talking to a lady and she mentioned that her daughter was moving to a very small town. I asked the lady what the town was called. Ironically, she said Leechburg. She told me that it is a cute, little, hidden town. She explained that when she went into Giant Eagle, she was shocked. Everyone was so friendly and smiled at her. She said that she wasn’t used to it and it caught her off guard. However, she considers Leechburg to be one of the friendliest towns she has ever been to.
